Additional Info
The participation activities will include preparation and argument of motions, for example, motions to dismiss or discovery motions, review of discovery issues specific to patent litigation and techniques for addressing them, participation in mock depositions, and preparation of claim construction and participation in a Markman claim construction hearing, and a brief introduction to the trial of a patent case.
Grading
Each student will be required to prepare 2 major written assignments (each ranging between 10-15 pages) and 3 smaller written projects (each document ranging between 5-8 pages) during the semester, as well as to participate in 2 oral presentations, which will be tied to the major papers on topics covered during the semester. Grades will be based upon the written papers and the oral presentations.
