Course Description

The purpose of this course is to survey the history of health reform in the U.S. and analyze the new 2010 patient protection and affordable care act and its potential impact on the health care system. The course will examine the development of the 2010 federal reforms and how the new law intends to address healthcare delivery, cost containment and access to care. The course will help students and practitioners understand the current regulatory environment and prepare them to analyze future health reform.
