Course Description

This seminar will explore a range of issues relevant to employment discrimination law and litigation, both substantive and procedural. Each student will produce a substantial research paper on a related topic to be chosen in consultation with the instructor. During the first half of the semester, we will examine several current controversies through both recent court decisions and legal scholarship offering doctrinal, theoretical, empirical, and critical perspectives. During the second half of the semester, each student will present his or her paper to the class in a workshop format.
