Pitt Law Alumni Reunion 2008
The 2008 Pitt Law Reunion Weekend took place on October 24 – 25 and was enjoyed by all who attended the activities.
The weekend began on Friday with Pitt Law Across the Nation, a networking program for current law students interested in exploring legal opportunities outside of Western Pennsylvania. Alumni from Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Miami, North Carolina, Richmond, VA, and Tucson, AZ participated in this program. In the afternoon, alumni and friends had the opportunity to hear Professors Jules Lobel and David Harris present a CLE program on a timely subject, The Rule of Law and Racial and Ethnic Profiling in the War on Terror. Afterwards, a well attended evening reception took place at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association. Eva Tansky Blum (JD '73) and John P. Gismondi (JD '78) were presented with Distinguished Alumni Awards. Also joining the festivities were two Pitt sports celebrities: Agnus Berenato, Pitt women's basketball coach, and Bill Fralic, decorated Panther lineman.
On Saturday, the Class of 1958 celebrated their 50th reunion with a special luncheon at the Law School with Dean Mary Crossley, while at Heinz Field, the Pitt Law Alumni Association hosted a tailgate for law alumni and friends before the Pitt-Rutgers football game.
