The meeting time for this seminar is scheduled for three hours. However, there will be some weeks that the seminar will not meet.
Grading
Each student will lead a one-hour discussion of his/her topic using either the back story or the movie excerpts and the primary legal sources to explicate the topic, and prepare a two-draft paper based on his/her topic. Grades will be based on participation in the seminar (15%), the presentation (15%), the first draft of the paper (20%), and the final draft (50%). This seminar will be graded on an H/S/U basis.
Prerequisites and Recommended Courses
Note:
Recommended Prior or Concurrent Courses: Either LAW 5395: Health Law & Policy; LAW 5464: Bioethics and Law; LAW 5980: Bioethics and Law Clinical Practicum OR A&S 2664: Bioethics.
