Additional Info
Classes will consist of discussion of the assigned materials alternating with student presentations in varying formats, including mock legislative hearings, moot court-style arguments, leading of class discussions, and presentations of policy recommendations. Some group work may be required. Students will complete four written assignments of varying lengths (none longer than fifteen pages, none shorter than three to five pages) on assigned topics. Written work will be extensively critiqued, and one re-draft of each written product will be required.
Grading
Grades will be based on written work (85%), and oral work in class in both presentations and discussion (15%). In group work, students may also be evaluated by their peers.
