The work for this practicum takes place between May 25, 2010 and August 10, 2010, but students register for credit as part of the Fall 2010 term. Credit is awarded at the end of the fall term.

For the summer of 2010, students must be available to work at the University of Pittsburgh Barco Law Library from May 25, 2010 to August 10, 2010. Students will also attend weekly one hour classes at the Barco Law Library with course instructors from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Tuesdays during the summer term period. The first class will be from 1-2 PM on May 25, 2010.
Grading is based on student attendance and the student’s mastery of legal research proficiency, as demonstrated in assigned research projects. Students are required to complete 40 hours of research assignments at the Barco Law Library and to write a ten page paper that journals the student’s research activities.
