Douglas Branson on Corporate Governance in Beijing

On November 11 and 12, Professor Douglas Branson attended the 9th Annual Meeting of the Asian Corporate Governance Association in Beijing, Peoples Republic of China. On November 12, he spoke on “Rent Seeking as an Obstacle to Corporate Governance Reform in Small Market Countries.” His remarks were in part based upon his travels to Indonesia as a U.S State Department sponsored consultant to various ministries there and his travel to the Philippines as a corporate governance consultant to the Asian Development Bank, located in Manila.
