Robert Nachtigall, MD, Clinical Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, University of California-San Francisco, will speak on "The Disposition Decision: How Post-IVF Couples Decide What To Do With Their Surplus Frozen Embryos." Faculty and students are welcome to attend. This event is sponsored by the Center for Bioethics and Health Law and the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences-Magee Women's Hospital.

15th ABA Environment, Energy, and Resources Section Fall Meeting

Save the dates for the 15th ABA Environment, Energy, and Resources Section Fall Meeting in Pittsburgh, PA, September 26-29.
There are several ways that law students can work as volunteers at the Section Fall Meeting. In exchange, the Section offers opportunities for students to participate free of charge in education programs taking place at the meeting. Wednesday, September 26 the ABA Public Service Section will team up with Earth Force and 140 Pittsburgh school children to identify, problem solve and develop action plans for environmental issues facing the school community. MOOT COURT INFORMATION
Moot Court Registration

Registration for the Murray S. Love Trial Moot Court Competition and the Appellate Moot Court Competition will be held on Wednesday, September 12, and Thursday, September 13, on the first floor of the Law School from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The registration fee is $20. Exam Pickup-Constitutional Law

Last Spring's exams may be picked up from my office, Room 509, or you may e mail a request for your exam and I will have it returned to your student mailbox. In addition, sample "A" answers are on reserve in the library, along with a copy of the final exam itself. Best of luck in the coming academic year.
Exam Pickup-Criminal Law

Students in Professor Robert Berkley Harper's Criminal Procedure class for the Spring 2007 term can pick up your exam from Professor Harper on Thursday, September 13 in Room 107 from 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. He will answer any questions you might have.
Time Sheets for September

The time sheet deadline for the month of September is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12. You may turn in your time sheets to the front desk receptionist in Room 202. Paychecks will be ready for pick up after 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28 in Room 202.
As a reminder, time sheets must have your supervisor's signature and be turned in by the designated due date. Hours turned in after the designated due date will be paid the following month.

International Law Society Meeting

The International Law Society will hold its first meeting on Thursday, September 13 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. in Room G13. Our organization currently has a vacancy in the position of Secretary. Any students from the Class of 2008 or 2009 who are interested in running for the vacant office should be at the meeting.
Mediators Without Borders Meeting

- The 10th Annual Entertainment Law Initiative Writing Competition and Scholarship Program. The grand prize receives a $5000 scholarship and four runners-up each receive $1500 scholarships.
