- Richard Juliano, felon and former deputy chief of staff to former governor George Ryan of Illinois
- Hank Shea, senior distinguished fellow, University of St. Thomas School of Law, Minneapolis, Minn., and former assistant U.S. attorney
Former governor Ryan, who retired from politics in 2003, was convicted of corruption charges in 2006 and currently is serving a six-and-a-half-year federal prison term. Juliano, who pled guilty to mail fraud in 2002, later testified at the trials of Ryan and Ryan's chief of staff, Scott Fawell.
The program will explore how Juliano, who engaged in some wrongdoing while attending the University of Chicago Law School, became involved in misusing public resources for political purposes, dealt with the consequences of such conduct, and learned valuable lessons from his experience.
