Professors Burkoff and Harris to Participate in "The Rule of Law Today" Law Policy Forum
Open to Pitt Law Students!
Presidential politics in 2008 will be dominated by policy questions that have dramatic implications
for the Rule of Law in our nation. The PBA has brought together prominent academic experts from
law schools in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware to discuss the Rule of Law as it applies in:
- The War on Terror:
Role of the Executive, Legislative and Judicial Branches - Immigration Reform:
Role of the National, State and Local Governments
In an afternoon Town Hall Meeting, which will include members of the public, the expert panels
will be asked to apply the law to the various positions of the Presidential candidates. Just two
weeks before the Pennsylvania primary election, this event is a perfect opportunity to learn
about the law and how it affects the policy positions of our nation's future President.
A reception will follow this program, giving you the opportunity to informally engage
our distinguished faculty. This is truly a unique and highly educational program. Don't miss
this opportunity to obtain a balanced, objective, and comprehensive look at these very important
legal issues.
