Mark Walter, former CILE Assistant Director and Pitt Law alumnus, will speak to a limited number of students on “Opportunities for Legal Professionals in International Development Work.” Walter is a Managing Director with Nathan Associates Inc. specializing in the areas of trade law, policy reform and assessment, and drafting and implementation of commercial law. He has worked extensively with USAID and was Chief of Party on the USAID-funded Doha Project for WTO Accession in Ethiopia, and on its redesigned successor project, the Ethiopia WTO Accession Plus Program. Walter has worked with trade law reform, and has lectured, and developed commercial law and legal education reform programs in regions across Africa, Eastern Europe, and Asia. Space is limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Students should RSVP to Maria Lauro (firstname.lastname@example.org) by Monday, January 30, at 12 noon.
