Expropriation & Intellectual Property Rights Under Bilateral Investment Treaties: Philip Morris v. Australia
Dr. Oleksiy Kononov, visiting professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, teaches Comparative Constitutional Law, Law of European Integration, International Financial Law, and International Arbitration at the American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He earned his first degree in law at Donetsk National University, Ukraine, and his LL.M. and S.J.D. degrees in International Business Law at the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary.
Kononov was a visiting research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg, Germany, and a research associate at the Vale Columbia Center on Sustainable International Investment at Columbia Law School in New York City. He worked as an attorney in the private sector in Ukraine for six years before beginning his graduate work.
