Faculty Research Talk/Lunch

For the interested in international law issues, Dean of Research Prof. David Harris and the ILS are co-sponsoring next week's Faculty Research talk/lunch. It will be held at Noon on Tuesday, October 30 in Room 111. At the talk, Prof. Vivian Curran will discuss her impressions of the oral argument the Supreme Court heard in Kiobel v. Royal Dutch Petroleum on October 1 and offer a comparative law perspective on the central issue of extraterritoriality confronting the Court. Prof. Curran is the author of the amicus brief in the case titled: "Brief of Amici Curiae Comparative Law Scholars and French Supreme Court Justice in Support of Petitioners on the Issue of Extraterritorial Jurisdiction."
