The Upcoming Supreme Court Term: Will the Court End Affirmative Action?
On Tuesday, October 16 at noon in room 109 the Federalist Society will be sponsoring a discussion about the upcoming Supreme Court term, focusing in particular on Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin, a potentially landmark case in the area of affirmative action. This event will feature Professor Brian Fitzpatrick from Vanderbilt Law School and our own Professor Garrow will give commentary. Lunch will be provided.
Professor Fitzpatrick has been at Vanderbilt since 2007. Earlier in his career he clerked on the United States Supreme Court as well as the Ninth Circuit. He obtained his law degree from Harvard Law School and holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from Notre Dame.
