Public Interest Externship Workshop
ARE YOU EXPERIENCED?
Externships are a great way to gain firsthand experience and build your resume, all while earning up to four credits. Externships are essential if you are planning on going into public interest law, but they can be hard to find –
SO WE ARE BRINGING THE EXPERIENCE DIRECTLY TO YOU!
The Student Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild invites you to join us on
Wednesday, February 20 at 5:30 p.m.
in the Alcoa Room for our first ever
Public Interest Externship Workshop
By attending, you will learn about the externship program at Pitt Law, will have the opportunity to talk with fellow students about their experiences, and will hear from representatives from three public interest organizations that are preapproved sites for for-credit externships and have ongoing needs for externs!
Panelists:
- Edward Van Stevenson, Neighborhood Legal Services Association
- Elizabeth Pittinger, Citizen Police Review Board
- William McKendree, Allegheny County Department of Human Services APPRISE program
