Pennsylvania's Law Firm Wants You!
Pennsylvania’s Law Firm Wants YOU!
OPCD is proud to present James D. Schultz, General Counsel of the Governor’s Office of General Counsel, on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM in Room 113 of the Barco Law Building.
As General Counsel, Mr. Schultz oversees “Pennsylvania’s Law Firm”—the 480+ attorneys who provide the Governor, the Executive Branch, members of the Cabinet and 34 executive and independent state agencies with expert legal counsel. OGC attorneys appear in every state and federal court and administrative forum in the Commonwealth. The OGC employs attorneys who formerly practiced in private law firms, as well as those who began their careers in government legal offices or as judicial law clerks.
Prior to joining the OGC, Mr. Schultz practiced with Cozen O’Connor, handling complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts. He also spent nearly 3 years in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the E.D. of Pennsylvania, and previously served as a judicial law clerk with the Pa. Superior Court.
Regardless of whether you aspire to practice in the public or private sector, this presentation will assist you! Following his presentation, Mr. Schultz will take questions and will also network with law students.
Business Casual Attire required.
Lunch will be served. RSVP via Symplicity.
