John Burkoff on Justice Joan Orie Melvin's Petition to the PA Supreme Court

Professor John Burkoff discussed the petition of Justice Joan Orie Melvin to her colleagues on the PA Supreme Court, asking that they dismiss the criminal charges against her because they would violate separation of powers.  "I very much doubt that the other members of the Supreme Court are interested in asserting extraordinary juridiction over any of the pretrial matters pending in this prosecution," Professor Burkoff told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
