Legal Research: How to Prepare a Legal Brief
Spring Semester 2014

 

These required trainings will focus on how to use the three major legal databases to do research, writing and citation for the briefs that you will be working on in your Legal Analysis and Writing courses this semester.

The format is different from the fall.  The trainings will be held in the Courtroom on the ground floor at times convenient for 1L schedules. Bring your laptops/tablets if you want to work along with the trainer.

Come to whichever session is most convenient.  Attendance sheets for all 1L sections will be available in the Courtroom so you can verify your attendance.   

IMPORTANT:  You must attend three sessions:  one of the Lexis training sessions on Monday, Jan 13, one of the Westlaw training sessions on Jan. 15-16 and one of the Bloomberg training sessions on Jan. 21-22.
