Assistance With Argumentation Research

A Message from Dr. Amanda Crowell of the Learning Research and Development Center at Pitt (forwarded by Professor David Harris)-

Dear Second and Third year law students:

I am conducting research regarding the ways in which being a lawyer affects a person's argumentation style.   I am hopeful that through this research I can understand how being socialized in the traditions of law affects how a person argues.

I am currently looking for participants who are second or third year law students to engage in a 30-minute argument and a 10-minute survey.  All research activities will take place online, scheduled around your availability.  To thank you for your time, I will gladly give you a $20 visa gift card and a $10 Amazon gift card.

I hope that you will be willing to participate!  If you would like to know more or are ready to participate, you can click here: www.sites.google.com/site/lawarguments

Or you can email me (law.argument.research@gmail.com) and I will answer any questions that you have.  Also, if you know any second or third year law students at other schools who might be interested in participating, feel free to let them know about this study.
