Burkoff Talks with the Associated Press About Orie Conviction
The Associated Press called upon Pitt Law Professor John Burkoff to comment on Senator Jane Orie’s recent conviction on 14 counts of theft of service, conflict of interest, and forgery.
"Any serious convictions like this are exactly what the prosecution sought, and the senator is now probably going to jail," Burkoff said. "Convicted of 14 different counts is a lot. It's serious judgment against her."
