Publish Date/Time:
March 21, 2012

THE UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH SCHOOL OF LAW MOOT COURT BOARD IS LOOKING FOR EIGHT GOOD MEN AND WOMEN TO SERVE NEXT YEAR!

The Moot Court Board organizes and administers both the internal Appellate Moot Court Competition in the Fall Semester and the Murray S. Love Mock Trial Competition in the Spring Semester.

Candidates will be assessed in three areas:

1. Moot court experience, including in law school and even prior to law school;

2. Leadership and organizational experience; and

3. Academic performance and references.

Membership on the Board does not permit you to compete in either of the competitions that the Board administers.  That is why, if you competed this year, you are in a good position to be considered for the Board.  Board members receive a stipend for their service, but not credits.

All 1 and 2Ls are encouraged to apply. If you are interested in applying: please send a resume, statement of interest, transcript (does not have to be official) and two references to Larry Joseph at lawrencejoseph25@gmail.com. The application period will last through March 28, 2012.

If any of you have questions about serving on the Board, please do not hesitate to send Mr. Joseph an email at anytime. (Other law students who held Board membership this year are John Schaffranek, who was Chair of the Appellate Moot Court Competition, Rob Tisdale, Robert Lo, Branden Moore, David Manes, Katie Imler, Lilianne Snyder, Rachel Divosevic.)
