Linda Osberg-Braun, '88, wins 2010 PLWA Marjorie Matson Award
The Pitt Law Women's Association (PLWA) honored Linda Osberg-Braun the annual Marjorie Matson Award at a ceremony on April 1, 2010.
Ms. Osberg-Braun, a 1988 Pitt Law alumna, is a practicing immigration and international attorney in Miami, Florida. In early 2000 she served on the legal team for Elian Gonzalez (appearing on national television) and his family, and has recently assisted Haitian refugees who came to American following the earthquake.
The recipient of the Marjorie Matson Award is selected annually by students in the Pitt Law Women's Association. The award honors a Pitt alumna who exemplifies the character and qualities of Ms. Marjorie Matson - serving as a pioneer in the field of law for women and advocating social change through professional work - as woman of the year.
