Haider Hamoudi Presents at the West Point Center for the Rule of Law

Professor Haider Hamoudi gave the keynote luncheon address at a conference held at the West Point Center for the Rule of Law on March 29.  The conference was entitled “Islam and the Rule of Law.”  Professor Hamoudi's keynote address concerned the role of the shari’a in the nascent democracies of the Arab Spring.   At the same conference, Professor Hamoudi also participated in a panel discussion entitled “Is Islam Radical?”  His remarks focused on the definition of the term “jihad” in contemporary parlance and in historical perspective.
