Professor Harry Flechtner addressed participants in the LL.M. program on International Business, a program jointly sponsored by the Center for International Studies (located in Salzburg, Austria) and Lazarski University (Warsaw), on March 22, 2012.  His address was entitled "Why International Commercial Law Matters." Professor Flechtner's gave the talk at Schloss Leopoldskron in Salzburg, which was the setting for many of the exterior shots (the ones with the lake) of Captain von Trapp's house in the Sound of Music.  The night that Professor Flechtner spoke, attendees reported that the hills were alive with the sound of transaction costs being saved through a regime of uniform international commercial law.
