Social Equity Leadership Conference to Mark 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 

The University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs will host the National Academy of Public Administration's 13th Annual Social Equity and Leadership Conference, May 28-30, 2014.

The conference will examine social equity and governance issues in the following areas: 

  • Pittsburgh's Role (Past, Present, and Future) in pursuit of Civil Rights
  • Shaping Social Equity through Immigration Policy
  • The Affordable Care Act's Role and Potential in Creating Equal Access to Health Care
  • The Unfinished Work of the Civil Rights Act of 1964

  • Assessing the Relation Between Growing Income Inequality and Social Equity
