Pitt Law Alumna Joanne Kilgour, '12, Joins the Center for Coalfield Justice

Joanne Kilgour, '12, has joined the Center for Coalfield Justice as legal director. She came to Southwestern Pennsylvania in 2003 to study at Carnegie Mellon University and is a graduate of Pitt Law in the environmental law, science, and policy program. During law school, Kilgour worked as a Certified Legal Intern in the Environmental Law Clinic and served as a conflict resolution fellow. Upon graduating, Joanne was awarded the Dick Thornburgh Prize for Legal Service. Prior to joining CCJ, she worked as a legal intern for the Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission, Environment Northeast, and Three Rivers Waterkeeper.
