Pitt Law alumnus Kevin Abbott, ’81, Receives Energy Leadership Award

Kevin Abbott, ’81, was recently awarded the Pittsburgh Business Times Energy Leadership Award, presented to individuals and organizations for their impact on the business of energy in Western Pennsylvania.  Eleven individuals and three companies from around the region’s energy industry were honored on May 17, 2012 night.

Abbott said that, when he started [with Reed Smith LLP], his goal was for Pittsburgh "to be recognized as a center for the energy business and for energy law." He said that may have been a dream in 1990, "but now it's come true."
