Professor Jasmine Gonzales Rose and IPI Executive Director Stephanie Dangel will speak at the International Women in Film & Television Summit in Pittsburgh on May 16-18th. The Summit will bring together entertainment professionals from around the world, including Twilight Director Catherine Hardwick and CNN Anchor Martin Savidge, to engage and educate the attendees through speakers, panel discussions and special events.

Gonzales Rose will participate in a panel following the screening of “Gideon's Army,” an award-winning documentary about three courageous public defenders working to ensure justice for all in the Deep South. Gonzalez Rose and fellow attorney Ben Grote of the Abolitionist Law Center will answer audience questions about the legal issues raised in the film, which will be screened on Friday May 16 at 5:30 p.m. at Point Park University.

Dangel will address the legal challenges confronting filmmakers, based on her own experience as a lawyer, producer and Executive Director of the Innovation Practice Institute. The IPI trains law students to be and to represent innovators and entrepreneurs, including those working in the entertainment industry. Dangel will speak on Friday May 16 at 10:30 a.m. at the Westin Convention Center.
