Pitt Law Alumnus Burke Named Carroll County's Attorney
Tim Burke, Pitt Law class of '87, was named Carroll County, Maryland's new attorney Friday. Burke, who has worked for the county as an assistant county attorney since 1996, had been serving in an interim capacity since April.
"I am extremely pleased that we are removing the interim tag, and Tim Burke will be our county attorney," said Commissioner Haven Shoemaker, R-District 2, in a prepared release. "Tim has dedicated a decade and a half to serving the people of Carroll County, and is well respected by the local bench and bar. We are lucky to have him, and I'm confident that he will be an excellent county attorney."
