Publish Date/Time:

Professor David Harris spoke at the NAACP's National Convention on Monday, July 9, in Houston.  The Convention's "Summit on Criminal Justice Issues" featured four experts, one in each of the NAACP's four main criminal justice priority areas: racial profiling and police accountability, mass incarceration, abolition of the death penalty, and re-entry programs.  Professor Harris spoke on ways that advocates could convince policy makers and fellow citizens to take action against a wide range of police accountability and misconduct issues, including racial profiling and the abuse of stop and frisk law.
