On September 19-21, Professors Ronald Brand and Harry Flechtner lectured on U.S. Law for International Commercial Contracts to a group of more than 100 lawyers at the University of Havana, Cuba.  The three-day program covered the Uniform Commercial Code and the U.N. Sales Convention (to which both the U.S. and Cuba are contracting states), as well as basic issues such as the use of price-delivery terms, and choice of forum and choice of law in basic export-import contracts for the sale of goods.  Brand and Flechtner also had meetings with representatives from the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the Cuban Court of International Commercial Arbitration, and the Law Faculty of the University of Havana.
