John Burkoff on Stalking With Anonymous Accusations, and Credibility in the Penn State Scandal

Publish Date/Time:

Professor John Burkoff has been interviewed regarding various ongoing criminal cases and investigations.  Last week, Ricky Burgess, a Pittsburgh City Council member who teaches at Community College of Allegheny County, denounced attempts to smear him with anonymous accusations that he traded grades for sex.  An investigation is ongoing, and Professor Burkoff told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that Pennsylvania's stalking statute may cover this behavior.  And Professor Burkoff also made further comments about the Penn State scandal, this time about Assistant Coach Mike McQueary's email to a friend that differed from what McQueary said in his testimony to a grand jury.  Professor Burkoff told the Altoona Mirror that "most people exaggerate, say things they don't mean, even say things they are not true, all the time," but that contradictory statements by McQueary damage him as a witness.
