On November 29, Professor John Burkoff was a keynote presenter at an event sponsored by the Pittsburgh Foundation, speaking on the ethical implications of the lawyers’ conduct depicted in the documentary, "The Art of the Steal."  That documentary depicted the decades-long efforts to resolve the financial problems of the Barnes Foundation, an estimated $30 billion collection of mostly Modernist and Post-Impressionist artworks, ultimately resulting in the officers’ decision to break Albert Barnes’ will and relocate the collection from Lower Merion to Philadelphia.  One hundred fifty lawyers, accountants, and financial planners attended this 4-hour CLE program.
