Spring Term Course Offering, Race and Social Problems, SWGEN 2080
The course Race and Social Problems, SWGEN 2080, will be offered Spring Term by Dr. Ralph Bangs, Associate Director of the Center on Race and Social Problems.
The class provides an exciting set of readings, documentaries, guest speakers, and class discussions. Students will learn about race-related social problems, their consequences, causes, and solutions.
The class will meet every Thursday, 6:00-8:50 pm.

• Michelle Alexander, The New Jim Crow, 2010
• Ira Katznelson, When Affirmative Action Was White, 2005
• Beverly Tatum, Can We Talk about Race, 2007
