Allegheny County Bar Association
Summer Clerkship Program
First Year Minority Law Students
PLEASE NOTE THE DATE CHANGE. Join Alysia Keating, Director of Diversity and Gender Equality at an information session to learn about summer clerkship opportunities available at law firms, corporate legal departments, and government agencies in Pittsburgh to first year minority law students through a program sponsored by the Allegheny County Bar Association. Ms. Keating will discuss the history and goals of the program and will outline what is involved in applying. She will also discuss the interview process and the placement process. Past participants in the program will be available to answer questions. “Minority” for purposes of the ACBA Summer Clerkship Program is as defined under EEOC guidelines as a member of one of the following four groups who share a race, color or national origin: American Indian or Alaskan Native; Asian or Pacific Islander; Black; or Hispanic. If you are a minority and will have completed your first year at the end of this school year, you would be eligible to apply. The application deadline is January 6, 2014.
The information session will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., in Room 111 of the Barco Law Building. Student should RSVP via Symplicity no later than noon on Wednesday, November 20. Lunch will be provided.
