John Burkoff Interviewed on Sanctions Being Sought Against Police in Jordan Miles Case

Professor John Burkoff was interviewed by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review in connection with a report that attorneys for Pittsburgh teenager Jordan Miles are an injunction against  police officers accused of beating Mr. Miles.
University of Pittsburgh law professor John Burkoff said Miles is unlikely to obtain the permanent injunction, because judges can only order public officials to perform actions they're legally required to carry out, not ones where they have discretion.
