Ten law students from around the region, including Sarah McDermott from
the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, are spending their summer
helping to provide free civil legal services to the low-income and
elderly residents of Central Northeast Ohio.
Officers of the Allegheny County Bar Association today announced that Pittsburgh attorney Jay A. Blechman has been elected its president for the year beginning July 1, 2008. Blechman, who has a B.S. in Commerce from DePaul University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh Law School, has been an active member of the Allegheny County Bar Association for many years.
The University of Pittsburgh School of Law Commencement was held on Saturday, May 24, 2008 in the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Auditorium. The Honorable Debra M. Todd, Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, University of Pittsburgh School of Law Class of 1982 gave the Commencement Address.
