Biography

Christopher S. Channel is a Partner with Leech Tishman and a member of the Litigation Practice Group. Chris is based in Leech Tishman’s Pittsburgh office. He is an experienced trial lawyer who has defended industrial manufacturers and business owners in claims involving allegations of toxic substances, defective products, premises liability and negligence.

During the course of his career, Chris has represented members of the natural resources industries in matters impacting their business. He regularly represents parties in protecting their intellectual property through trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and covenants not-to-compete and has experience in alternative dispute resolution.

Chris works diligently to understand the client’s business goals and works in close communication with his clients to develop the most effective litigation strategy.

Prior to joining Leech Tishman, Chris was a shareholder at Babst Calland Clements and Zomnir, P.C.

Other Activities

Mr. Channel is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, West Virginia and the United States District Court s for both the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia. He is a member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations and the West Virginia Bar.  Mr. Channel has been recognized as one of Pennsylvania’s up-and-coming lawyers since 2005, according to an annual survey published in Philadelphia magazine. He was selected from among the active civil litigation attorneys in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania to serve on the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Council, which represents a cross-section of attorneys and judges involved with civil litigation in the county. Mr. Channel was elected Treasurer of that organization and serves on the executive committee. Additionally, he is an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he teaches pre-trial techniques.
