Recent Presentations by Vivian Curran, in France and in the US
On June 17, 2010, Professor Vivian Curran was one of two invited reporters from the United States (the other was Prof. Alain Levasseur of Louisiana State University) at the biennial meeting of the International Association of Legal Methodology at the Faculty of Law of the University of Aix-en-Provence, France. Her talk was “La formation des juristes aux États-Unis.”
On May 17, Professor Curran was the featured speaker at the Lion of Judah Lunch and Learn. Her presentation was on “Some Reflections on Contemporary Compensation for Nazi Property Expropriations and the Rule of Law.”
On May 6, 2010, Professor Curran moderated a panel on “The Role of Civil Societies and Legal Education in Developing the Rule of Law” at Policy Conference on Promoting the Rule of Law: Cooperation and Competition in the EU-US Relationship,” at the University of Pittsburgh. The next day, she summarized remarks to launch discussion with respect to that topic.
