Career Services: Recruiting at Pitt Law
Post a Position
Employers may post positions for Pitt Law students or graduates online through Symplicity, a comprehensive online job posting and web-based recruiting system. Symplicity will enable law students and alumni to access your job posting through the law school's password protected website.
In addition, if you choose, students and/or graduates may apply to your job posting through Symplicity, and you may view their applications online. Employers may also choose other ways to accept applications, such as e-mail or U.S. mail, or by fax. Additionally, the Career Services Office can collect resumes for you or you may post the job as a blind posting. As always, there will be no charge for posting a listing.
If you are a first time user, you must first register for service in order to gain access and post to Symplicity. To register, click here and complete the information under the tab labeled "Register."
Upon registration approval, you will be e-mailed a password and job posting instructions. The email address from which the message is sent is firstname.lastname@example.org. Please do not delete this message or any other messages sent from this account. Once signed in, you are encouraged to change your password. Please note that, once changed, the Career Services Office can not retrieve forgotten passwords. All employers must have an e-mail account to receive online access to Symplicity.

If you are currently registered and would like to post a position:
- Log on to Symplicity with your e-mail address and password and input your job posting information.
- Forgot your password? Access a password using the "Forgot my password" tab.
Employers may also send an e-mail of the job opportunity to firstname.lastname@example.org or send it via fax to (412) 624-4843.
Fall on-campus interviewing begins the fourth Thursday of August and continues through mid-November. The Law School will also host fall interview programs in Washington D.C. and Philadelphia. The Washington, D.C. Interview Day will be held the fourth Friday of August and the Philadelphia Interview Day will be held on the first Friday of September. Employers have the opportunity to interview up to 20 students per day in 20 to 30 minute intervals, and employers prescreen the resumes of all the students they interview.

Spring OCI Information
The Career Services Office makes available to any employers who recruit later in the school year the use of the Law School's interview rooms -- an option especially useful for out-of-state employers or employers with offices not conveniently close to campus. The interview rooms may be reserved Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Employers have the opportunity to interview up to 20 students per day in 20 to 30 minute intervals, and employers prescreen the resumes of all the students they interview. Interview dates are typically scheduled within two to four weeks of the request. Employers furnish the Career Services Office with basic information about their hiring needs. You may request a schedule to interview or collect resumes by registering through our Pitt Law Symplicity system. Shortly before the interview date, employers review the resumes and contact the CSO with a list of students selected for interviews. There is no charge for scheduling a spring on-campus interview. Employers may also request resumes of Pitt Law graduates included in the Career Services Office Resume Bank. The office staff will review candidates in the Resume Bank and send those resumes that appear to meet your specific hiring criteria and will post your job opening.
