Vivian Curran on the French Legal System

Professor Vivian Curran recently gave a talk at the Pompidou Center in Paris on the role of laypeople and professionals in the French legal system.  The talk was part of a series of on the French judicial system that is open to the public.  The evening lasted two hours, with a major portion devoted to audience questions.  Joining her were Prof Roger Perrot of the University of Paris Law Faculty and Attorney Tiennot Grumbach, a litigator and former head of the Versailles bar association.  The entire evening was taped and will be audiobroadcast on the websites of FranceCulture and of the Bibliothèque publique d'information.  The text of her talk, Laïcs et professionnels dans l'ordre juridique français, will be posted on the latter's website.
