Description
Law students and lawyers suffer disproportionately from anxiety, depression, and substance abuse relative to other graduate students and other professions. Why? There may be no one answer. Instead, there is a complex array of potential causes. More troubling is that law students and lawyers under utilize the resources available to them in achieving well-being that is coupled with a successful career.
In this course, the Journey to Well-Being, we will raise your awareness about current mental trends among law students and legal professionals, examine and understand some of the root causes, discuss resources and methods in combating these trends, and engage in self-reflection on well-being and strategies for maintaining one's well-being as a priority as a law student and legal professional.
