2014 Moot Court Appellate Competition

2014 Moot Court Appellate Competition
The Moot Court Board will be tabling for the 2014 Moot Court Appellate Competition from Wednesday, August 27 through Wednesday, September 10 from 11am-2pm in the Student Lounge.  Participating students compete as individuals and are required to complete a written brief. Oral argument rounds are similar to the appellate oral argument  that first-year students complete in Legal Analysis & Writing. To earn one credit, participating students must attend a one-hour lecture on appellate advocacy, achieve a passing score on the written brief, and complete one oral argument round in good faith.
*Cash prizes will be awarded to the top finishers.
*The top 2L Finalists qualify to represent Pitt at the National Moot Court Competition.
*The registration fee for the Appellate Competition is $20.
There will be an information session on Wednesday, September 3 at 5:30pm in room 113. If you have any questions regarding the Appellate Competition, please contact Endia Vereen at ejv6@pitt.edu.
