Course Description

The Policy Externship awards credit for an externship doing policy-related work with a nonprofit or government office in Washington, DC. Students enrolling in the Policy Externship must also register for the associated Policy Colloquium.
The Policy Externship is one component of the Law School and GSPIA’s DC Law and Policy Semester program. This program gives Law students the opportunity to develop policy knowledge and skills by taking policy-related courses with GSPIA students, working in policy internships, and engaging with policy practitioners and alumni mentors in Washington, DC. Students interested in participating in the Law and Policy DC Semester should review the program information online and contact the instructor to discuss the program requirements and externship application process.
