The course aims to place the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) in the context of changing practices in modern trade. Specifically, to those interested in embarking on a journey in the sphere of international sales contracts, the course will examine applicability and interpretation of the CISG, contract formation, obligations of quality, avoidance of contract, risk of loss, exemption for failure to perform, and remedies for breach.
