Continuing Legal Education (CLE)

The University of Pittsburgh School of Law is an Accredited CLE and Distance Learning provider in Pennsylvania.

Throughout the year, Pitt Law offers Continuing Legal Education Credit for attorneys who attend our live events or participate in self-study CLE through our video archive. These programs are offered directly by Pitt Law and are presented by faculty, alumni, and other practicing attorneys on a wide array of substantive and ethical legal topics.

Effective January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021 the CLE Board adopted a temporary policy to recognize live online programming by accredited distance learning providers as live (non-capped) credit towards lawyers' CLE requirement. To Register for an upcoming Live CLE Event

  1. View the list of upcoming live CLE events.
  2. Register for the event using the Zoom registration link associated with that program.
  3. After attending the live CLE, attendees seeking CLE credit will automatically receive a survey via email from Pitt Law for purposes of seeking credit card authorization and for processing your CLE credit.

To mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Pitt Law is currently only offering CLE programs via live distance learning events and our video archive. The PA CLE Board has authorized attorneys to complete all 12 of the 2020 CLE requirement through participation in approved online programs.
