The goal of this symposium is to bring together researchers, advocates, and clinicians from a range of disciplines to examine the barriers to—and possibilities for—affirming the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans young people. With guest lectures serving as “bookends,” the symposium will showcase brief presentations by local colleagues designed to facilitate discussion—not only across disciplines and research methods, but also across clinical, community, and academic settings—and to catalyze future interdisciplinary collaborations. Students, faculty, advocates, and members of the public are welcome to attend.
