Live CLE: Threats to the Vote and Democracy in Pennsylvania and Beyond

Pitt Law, in conjunction with the University of Pittsburgh Institute for Cyber Law, Policy, and Security (Pitt Cyber) will host a Live CLE, "Threats to the Vote and Democracy in Pennsylvania and Beyond." This presentation will include updates on Pennsylvania litigation, impacts on voting, threats to voting rights, election infrastructure vulnerabilities, and potential constitutional crises. Special guest David Hickton, Staff Director and Senior Counsel, House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis will be joined by moderator Beth Schwanke, Executive Director of Pitt Cyber.

Presenters include Christopher R. Deluzio, JD, Policy Director, Pitt Cyber, Professor Jessie Allen, and Sean Morales-Doyle, Deputy Director, Voting Rights & Elections, Brennan Center for Justice. 

This program has been approved by PACLE for 1 hour of Credit. There will be a $30 fee for processing CLE credit for this event. Attendance is free to those not seeking CLE.

Festivities continue at 5:00 p.m. with welcoming remarks by Dean Amy J. Wildermuth, followed by Elizabeth Hughes (JD ’04), President of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law's Alumni Association (UPLAA) and President of the Allegheny County Bar Association. Join your classmates for breakout rooms by decade of graduation, as well as meeting rooms for the Black Alumni Committee, the Clinics, and Student Organizations, followed by a fun game of Pitt Law trivia.
