John Burkoff on Bad Judges

Professor John Burkoff was quoted today by on the fallout from corrupt judging in a defamation case.

University of Pittsburgh law professor John Burkoff said defendants who appeared before Ciavarella or Conahan must show misconduct in their cases to stand any chance of getting verdicts or judgments overturned.

"You can't just say, 'These are bad judges, therefore everything they did was bad,'" he said.
